Lovinggood Community Restoration Unit (LCRU) Lovinggoodlandinghoa@gmail.com
This is a long-time running volunteer committee that is responsible for overseeing the ongoing maintenance of our common areas. It has a chairperson and as many members as wish to volunteer. This group stays busy year-round as there is never an end to the list of items that need our attention.
Painting the stop signs and street signs
Spraying the curb weeds with roundup
Assisting neighbors in dire hardship with limited tasks involving physical labor around their property
Repairing and even beautifying common property, like the installation of landscape lights at the entrance, painting the front sign, repair and beautification of the endcap
Making sure the front irrigation is seasonally on or off
Decorate for holidays or plant flowers
Maintains the Lovinggood Landing Cemetery. Keeps up the grounds to respect the area.
Maintains the path. Ensures all trees, fallen branches, deceased animals are removed for safe travel to and from the marina.
Maintains any other common ground areas in the neighborhood.
If anyone in the neighborhood sees any of these areas need to be addressed, they should contact the LCRU Committee before contacting the BOD.
If anyone notices that a house has not kept up their own grounds that may impact on the integrity of the neighborhood, the neighborly thing would be to contact them as their neighbor. However, if one would rather not, reach out to the LCRU committee chairperson. Once a complaint is made to the BOD it can be used against the neighbor in court, and we want to avoid that avenue. Maybe they need a helping hand because of a life event. In that case, the LCRU can help. If it continues, the BOD can be contacted.
